About this policy

Failoverly is an independent software project. This policy explains how we handle information on failoverly.app. It covers this website; the future macOS app and VPN service will have their own privacy information before launch.

Information we handle

When you visit, hosting infrastructure receives technical information such as your IP address, browser information, requested page, and request time. This information may be logged to deliver the website, keep it reliable, and protect against abuse.

If you email us, we use your email address and the information in your message to respond and handle your request.

When you join the waitlist, we use your email address to manage your signup and send you the Failoverly launch announcement. Kit provides the signup form and email service. You can unsubscribe using the link in our emails or contact us to request removal.

Cookies and tracking

The embedded Kit form receives technical information when it loads, such as your IP address and browser information. It also reports form visits, the referring page, and campaign parameters in the page URL (such as UTM tags) to help attribute signups. Kit uses browser local storage for a visitor identifier and signup status. Its infrastructure may also set security cookies to protect the form from automated abuse.

We have not configured Google Analytics or advertising pixels on this website. We will update this policy before introducing these tools and provide any required choices or consent controls. You can clear local storage through your browser’s site-data settings.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell personal information. Service providers supporting our website and email may process information to provide those services, including in countries other than yours. Kit processes subscriber information on our behalf as described in its Data Processing Addendum. Its Privacy Policy describes its own services and interactions. We may also disclose information where required by law.

We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described here or to meet legal obligations. Technical logs are subject to the hosting provider’s retention settings.

Your choices and contact

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, object to its use, or raise a complaint with a privacy regulator.
